'93 960 torque converter problems 900 1993

1993 960 wagon with 188K, not 100% sure of previous transmission history.

I noticed the torque converter was not engaging today after driving for 30 miles or so.

I checked the ATF and it is def darker then normal, but the level is good, and shifts fine through the gears around town, it just seems as though the converter isn't engaging when it should at higher speeds. It did engage a couple of times when i babied it around 45-50MPH, but it soon disengaged.

I am taking it in to the dealership tomorrow to see if any codes come up.

Just curious at what your guys think, just need a ATF change? or am I looking at
new solenoids or throttle position sensor?

Thanks for any help
