How can you tell if parts sold online are 'Volvo' parts?

It should be noted that "service parts" are not held to the same quality standards as those parts feeding automotive assembly plants. 14 years (at best) after supplying the last 240 part, many suppliers have changed owners, locations, and mfg lines. The part at the dealer is not necessarily the same part that the cars were assembled with. See the thinner 740 exhausts as an example.
