The suggestions from the others are on the money. I will just add two comments.

1) Did you replace the water temp sensor that feeds the gauge (1 wire) or the one that feeds the fuel injection (2 wires)? The code would be for the two-wire sensor that is a PITA to get at if you have a California engine. Pull your manifold if you need to replace that one. Much easier that way.

2) If the temperature sensor is bad, it can open your 5th fuel injector unnecessarily, which will flood your engine. Unplug the 5th fuel injector. Unless you live in Canada or Alaska, you don't need the 5th fuel injector anyway.
