Heating/cooling questions 200

I use 87C/195F thermostats in my cars.

Compensation board bypass can be soldered in as in my image below or simply push a short section of standard lamp cord over pins 1 and 3. The non soldering method has the added convenience of not have to remove the temp gauge to get the added room I felt I needed to do the soldering. This procedure eliminates the need for the board and you simply discard it.

All of my cars have low coolant sensors and have saved us twice with loss of coolant and a probable overheating situation; once with a heater hose rupture and the other with a turbo coolant hose.

On the 240's I get a red 12v lamp that plugs into a hole I drill in one of the square panels to the right of the cluster.
