Very bizarre spark, yet no spark! 140-160

Hello,

A small spark is present on every plug wire when I pull the plug wires consecutively and hold them close to the engine block as someone turns the key. However, when I have the ignition coil wire removed from the distributor and set near the engine block and have someone turn the key, there is no spark whatsoever. I've read that I should expect a "fat blue spark", but I get nada.

With all wires hooked up, the car will sputter for a couple seconds and then die. Pertronix is fairly new, plug wires and ignition wire is new, and coil is new. Red wire to "+" side of coil, and black wire to "-". Yellow ignition wire to "+". Dizzy is set up perfectly according to fact. specs and so is Weber carb. Battery is showing 12-13 volts, and plugs look good. Starter turns engine well and sounds good. Any ideas?
