Yes. The PV has a great number of 'NVH issues' (i.e. lots of wind noise, very loud exhaust, carb noises, sitff motor mounts vibrating the car somewhat). Which makes it fun in small doses, but a little tiring for everyday use. And the summers here are generally hot and humid, and the lack of A/C in the PV limits it's appeal. And in the winter when there's the faintest threat of snow, they dump salt slurry on the roads, which will eat the poor old PV alive if I used it then. So it gets used most in the spring and fall.

I'd like the keep the 245 for a long time, so I don't drive it in the winter when there's salt down. I have a beater Ford Bronco II that takes the salt abuse. It's a solid little truck with 5sp manual, pushbutton 4WD, and a solid frame underneath that will prevent anything important from falling off. Add some tires worth about as much as the truck itself and it's great for winter driving.
