1979 245DL Canada vs US 200 1979

Hi! What was the difference between Canadian and American models at that year? I mean the difference between carburetor and injection engines. Was it just to satisfy emission standards or there were some changes for colder Canadian climate. I worry will my US injection model work in cold Canada? Thanks for the help.
