Grose jets do work for some people but for most they don't. Early SU carbs had brass needles and the needles wore down but later and current ones have "Viton" tips. This is a hard plastic which seems to have a long life and seal well. These are readily available. It's rare to get any problems with them but adding a filter between the pump and the carbs is a good idea if you don't already have one.
