245 rear wiper motor in a 445??? 444-544 1959

Hi,
I grabbed a 12v 245 rear wiper motor hoping to replace the six volt one in the car.
The six volt did not work. So far the 12V one does not work either.

It fits in place nicely and the linkage fits on the armature but nothing turns.

The 12V motor has three male spade terminals. The six volt motor had four wires going to it. A red, blue, green and black. I did not hook up the blue.

I tried swapping the red and blue but that was also a no go. I also put in a switch out of a 12 544.

I am wondering if I need to hook the blue and the red wire up to the same terminal, try hooking up all the wires to different terminals, or try to find a rear 245 wiper motor with four terminals.

Right now everything is in the car and I could not tell you what numbers on the switch are going to what numbers on the motor.

Its possible that the previous owner did not hook things up right in the first place.

The blue wire running from the fuse block was not hooked up to the switch and is hooked up to the third fuse not the fourth (from the left) as indicated in the wiring diagram.

I tried moving this wire to the correct fuse and blew the fuse.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
