Heater Core Help! 700

To save the trip, I was wondering if you could disconnect the hose with the heater valve in it, from the core. Then loosen the clamp at the valve and swivel the hose back to the engine so that one hose would have both of its ends on the two pipe nipples coming out of the engine with the heater valve allowing this without kinking. I have found an old heater valve to my 740 1990 and the inside diameter of the valve is "7/16" or 12 mm. The outside diameter of the heater valve is "5/8" or 16 mm. If the first idea doesn't fly with you, then go to Home Depot and buy a "1/2" grey plastic 90 degree hose coupling or two. That is within clamping range. You can buy grey plastic hose plugs but we don't want you to cut those hoses you have to make them fit since new ones are not found just anywhere. I hope this helps the trip go on.Keep an eye on the temp guage
