electrical 'Door Warning Light' 900 1993

I have a 93 940 turbo wagon. Does anybody know why my door warning light is not working? Let me tell you what iv'e found. First of all the bulb is good. Second, the door switch is good. Third, The dome light doesn't come on when you open the door. Then it gets stranger. I get voltage out of both legs of the warning light base. It seems as though i'm getting voltage from the door switch and the dome light at the same time..... Anybody got any ideas? I actually looked ata a diagram and it looks like the brown/black wire that is looped in the door swtches branches off to the radio anti-theft. I recently had a new radio installed. Do you think that the installer may have powered up this line? And if so, how come the other doors are working just fine. Thanks for all your help,
Confused.......
