95 oil pan gasket change problems

I got up enough intestinal fortitude to do the oil pan gasket on my 95 940 and I thought I was home free when I lined up the steering splines and hammered the universal joint with the clamp on to the rack spline. I put the bottom bolt in and I soon discovered the bolt was spinning and was no longer going in, so I reversed it and it won't come out either. I have tried to use a screw driver to leverage the bolt out to no avail. Do I have to take it to the shop or can I fix it . Any and all help will be appreciated. I have not dealt with something like this before. I know I screwed thing up But I don't understand. Thanks Joe S
