The infamous 1991 80amp Denso Alternator: Swappable with Bosch? 700 1991

Our '91 745 has the rare Denso 80amp Alternator... I'm thinking it's on its last legs (still some diagnostics to do). Is either the 100amp Denso or a Bosch unit a direct swap? I guess the critical problem is, would the geometry with the drivebelt be OK?

Does anyone know where I could get a voltage regulator for the 80amp Denso?

Thanks!
