Found a guy selling a 82 244 DL for $2800. The great thing about the car is that it only has 37K miles, thats right only 37K! I guess the car literally sat for years with essentially no use (I think the owner was elderly and has since passed away). The interior/exterior is like brand new, everything seems to work fine and looks great. I drove the car today and the engine hestitates a little (and pings faintly at high acceleration) but most likely this is from the lack of use (the guy who has it now has only driven it about 70 miles since getting it (at auction) and he says the engine has noticeably improved in just that time (he has no idea when the car was last driven before he got it.
Anyway, I'm calling for opinions as to whether I should pay the $2800 or not for it. It honestly does not run bad at all, it does not seem to stall or anything from my driving of it and is for the most part smooth (besides faint ping).
Let me know what you think/what I should be checking out or asking the guy, etc...
