Anybody have any performance wheel and tire tips for my 444? 444-544

Well I've just about got my 444 project back on the road and I've been saving this part for last. I have done major upgrades to the suspension on the car, including the following: Polyurethane bushings throughout the suspension, addition of IPD sway bars front and rear along with reenforcement of the chassis at all the mounting points, Koni shocks everywhere, and lowering of the springs along with retempering to drop the car 1". I've also added disc brakes on all four wheels, and a five speed transmission. This car has had a B20 for several years, which has been slightly hot rodded, and the car was pretty scary fast to begin with. Problem was you got it into a corner and it swayed like a boat in high seas. Hit the brakes and the front end chattered like crazy. I'm really hoping that the aforementioned upgrades will change all that and make this car capable of some serious driveability!

Now to the wheels and tires........

I have heard tell of people running ford ranger wheels , but let me start off by saying that I am adamant about running the stock hubcaps! So if your solution interferes with this than forget it! I spent way too long collecting these damn things to not run them! I am currently leaning towards having the wheels widened by Stockton Wheel in California, LA area. Now I'll admit that I am not terribly familiar with tire and wheel sizes, but I know these skinny old wheels are not going to suffice! If anyone has any experience with wheel widening, and can help me out with sizes and offsets, it would be really appreciated. Or if there is an alternative wheel that is commercially available that anyone knows of, thanks in advance!
