Getting a handle on a shifting issue 120-130

I really think you should change that slave cylinder.. see what happens.

But when I first read your thread this morning, my thought was that your 'new' tranny had the same problem as the old one.

I put a 'new' tranny in my 1800... and I can't downshift to second. I can go 1->2 fine, 2->3 fine, 3->4 fine.... 4->3 fine... but no 3or4->2 without double clutching, and/or fooling it into thinking I'm coming from first. Just a bad syncro... gamble with putting in used bits.

Good luck with it.. .

Last tranny swap I did... I started on a nice warm mid-January day. Didn't get it done, woke up next morning to 8" of snow. It's good for you :-)
