Perhaps. If the ECT is failing too much fuel could be sent to the combustion chamber, sort of flooding it. The AIC might be bunk. Change the fuel filter.

Check the fuel pressure regulator, pull the vacuum hose off and smell for gasoline...or just replace it anyways. If you smell gas you might wish to replace this.

Make sure the timing is in spec. how's the compression? make sure the ditributor and/or rotor is in good condidtion.
