What's the benefit of short runners?

A pushrod four stroke typically has a powered band of 3000rpm. Doing things that broaden the power band is generally a good thing.



Having two different induction lengths has been popular on BBC's since the '70's. The Chev factory did the research & development themselves for their CanAm effort.
