turn signal problem 200 1980

Right rear turn signal no longer works. Rt front blinks fast, the normal "bulb out" signal. However, the rt rear bulb and socket both work when switched to the left rear housing. The right rear still is nonfunctional when the bulb and housing are switched. I've cleaned off the metal contacts between housing and socket - no change.

So, it's apparently at the bulb housing or somewhere ahead of that. Any known "trouble spots" on that era of 240, where I might start ?
