Pedal box installation 140-160

PIcked up a clutch pedal box assembly for my 68 144. Gathering parts needed to switch from BW35 auto to M41. My current pedal box does not have the addition to just add the clutch pedal. That addition on the box I picked is metal rivited to the main box. Seems like it would be best to swap out the pedal box assembly.

Will not get around to the tranny swap till spring. Have most all items except the M41 itself. Do have the J overdrive. Was thinking about getting the pedal box in now and just not hanging the clutch pedal till later. Looks like a lot of work on your back. For those that have done this. Are there best practices in easy the process? Should one remove any of the dash to help access?
