Wierd tailight problem 200 1989

Not sure if this will fix the problem, but sometimes if the resistance of the bulbs is off, from left side to right, or the circuit resistance is different, the lamp can come on. The sensor checks the resistance balance

The new circuit board is probably sparkling clean, where it mates to the harness. you might try cleaning the other tail light's circuit board where it mates to the harness. Also try changing both pairs of bulbs, left and right.

It might be the new side is very clean, spec resistance, and the old side a little corrosion.
