940 radio surround for aftermarket radio? 900

Hello,

I recently bought a CD tuner and wiring kit, as recommended in the FAQ. I went to install the stereo this afternoon and realized that that faceplate that is around the radio is not removable. Do I have to cut the center out of the old faceplate, or is there something universal available to make the aftermaket tuner fit?
