Perfect sway bar link compression tool. 900

Hi, I thought I would leave a quick note.

I replaced my sway bar links last weekend, and I thought I would share a tip that I found.

I had a big issue trying to compress the bottom bushing and washer to get a nut on the sway bar link rod. I tried using several different types of pliers to compress it, but all I did was scrap up the washers.

I had borrowed a ball joint press from Autozone. It is essentially a C-clamp that has a place in the fixed C end where there is a round opening. The other side accepts different types of round attachments to press in balljoints.

With out attachments, the opening is big enough to get a socket with the nut through, yet small enough to hold the washer in place.

I was able to clamp the bottom of the sway bar link washer to the sway bar. Nice and easy, takes one minute to set up.

Its like the tool was made to do the job.

Took me an hour + to get the first one in. 5 minutes to get the second one in after I saw that the tool could be used.
