New seals for a brake booster? Anyone done that? 700 1989

I am getting a air leak sound, sometimes a whistle from the brake booster. Sound emanates from the inside of car, I assume from the pedal piston.
The Haynes shows a seal, and the dealer says there are 2 seals available at $3.40 a piece.
Anyone done this repair ?
Am hoping this will do it, a new one is $640 ! from FCP. (the 16v have different boosters to clear the intake.
