underbody rust prevention 200 1989

Hi,

I've been spending a few days removing rust from the wagon and trying POR-15. Trying to keep this wagon for dying of rust. But my next though is what about the underbody? What do people do? I'm thinking about putting it up on jack stands and loosening the peeling coating and cleaning with a wire brush. Would people go so far as to clean with a degreaser then acid clean and finally a rust preventative paint? Or how about just spraying some sort of tenacious tar gunk? I have never done this sort of thing so I'm really in the dark on the subject. There is a really nice think coating of something on 99% under, but there are some spots that are no longer protected and are showing rust..

Also what do people think of the different rust treatments/services out there; such as Crown or ???

Thanks!

Yaleh.
