ignition switch question 240 1988

im looking at the i.p.d. site and i can not distinguish between the difference between the 1989 (early) and 1990 (late) switches,, will the 90 model work in my 1988 ????????

i went and pulled one from an older 740, they look and are marked identical,

has anyone , does anyone know about interchangeability of these switches.

i have been having intermittent problems with the radio dying and this morning i could not roll up my dealer installed ele. windows.
