engine vibration 700

90 745t, engine emits a noticeable amount of vibration and noise peaking around 3000 rpm ±500 . The chassis vibrates enough around this speed to make the rear-view mirror blurry. Shifting into neutral at highway speeds reveals it's the engine and not the driveline. There is enough vibration that I realized my hands were getting numb during long highway drives from a corresponding high frequency vibration coming up the steering shaft into the wheel. Took a look underneath and while there seems to be plenty of clearance between the oil pan and crossmember ((even between both sides) the metal strap on the left/drivers engine mount was broken. The vibration has been there since I got the car earlier this year and was hoping a recently replaced bad trans mount would fix it.

Is there anything else I should be looking at? Other than the engine mount obviously sagging or leaking is there any way to test them?
