sensor bracket ......ooops 200

Well I am hoping no one else has had this happen to them ... but chances are at least one person has had this happen to them ... While attempting to remove the pickup sensor on the rear of the motor ( the one that "reads" the flywheel pulses ) I managed to break the bracket that the sensor fits into ...managed not to loose the screw that holds the sensor in but the bracket is now in 2 pieces .
Not really looking forward to removing the transmission for replacing the bracket . Any one have suggestions .... I know the right way is to replace the bracket with a new ( need to find one ) am hoping to "glue " the old one back together , given the tight spaces involved and all ... not real sure about attempting it ... was looking for others experiences with this . Thanks
