The most User friendly one I have seen...and now own is the Garmin products. You can get a "older" one for unter $200. The Garmin C330 or C340 are great.

They are basic. None of that waste of time Traffic update stuff just get you where you want to go..easily. They have on-board battery. 4hours+ of charge time.

The Mios and the Megellions are not user friendly at all.
