I bought a Garmin Streetpilot c580 about a month ago. It has all the bells and whistles, and your bluetooth phone hooks up to it so you have a hands free phone system. That part works really well..very clear reception and broadcast. It has an mp3 player in it, which I won't use (rather use the iPod). This one had all the bells and whistles. You can download free updates to the maps from the website, purchase new maps for other countries, etc. and you get a year free service with MSN. With MSN you can get traffic reports, and the StreetPilot will route you around traffic jams and pile ups in major cities. Out in the sticks where I am, it doesn't recognize the dead armadillos and stuff. Oh, and if you wonder where the next Cracker barrel is on your trip, it will tell you where they all are on your route.
****Note of Caution: When you leave your vehicle in an unfamiliar area, you should not only remove the GPS from the dash, you should take the suction cup off too. Then take a wet wipe and clean off the ring it makes. Thieves are walking around looking for those suction marks on the glass. If they see one they will break in your car in an instant and find the GPS unit. My son-in-law is on his third unit.
I paid $376.49 at Buydig.com (free shipping) I think they list for $500 something.
