Oil Pan Gasket 700 1989

My 89 760 turbo is in need of a new oil pan gasket. Unfortunately I started this project before reading the FAQ's on this procedure. However I just recently changed the motor mounts and did read the FAQ prior to doing it. I found the job very easy and did not remove any steering components because it was not suggested. I used a jack and a piece of wood to gain clearance. Is it necessary to take apart the steering and to hoist engine. Has any one done this with a jack? And are there other seals/gaskets I should replace with the engine up? I think the lines to and from the oil filter may be leaking.
