After reading the stab at our devotion to the 240 200

As quoted by David Johnson w/ Maxima "It also gets 30 mpg if I drive it gently (which is not often, 200HP V6!)"

HA I think “not often” is right. I've never seen a Maxima that gets 30 mpg (going downhill coasting MAYBE).

Nissans in general have terrible MPG typically except for the Sentra. I know I've own all models of Nissan's including my now beloved 2002 Xterra. Love her but; she gets 18mpg on good days.

My present commuter is "Maxine" a 1991 240 w/117k. I have yet to see ANY 1991 Maximas in my city still going that don’t look all ghetto.
