ignition cables - Bosch or Bougicord? 200 1988

Many year ago I replaced my ignition wires with a set from the dealer. They are made by Bougicord.

For the last several years, after spending a gross amount of time finding it, I have traced a slight vibration I feel in the gas pedal - and see in lower gas mileage, to the metal snap connections to the spark plugs becoming loose. This can't be from too many spark plug checks since I have switched to gapless plugs. I have been squeezing the ring down to compensate but the vibration comes back and I find another plug wire loose.

Does anyone else find Bougicord cables to come loose and think the Bosch wires are any better?
