My 244tic hates me..... 200 1984

Heres the deal, so its a 84' 244 TIC, I've had it for a about 2 months now, and it ran great when i first got it for about a week. then one day during a right turn the motor sputtered on power at about 4000-5000 rpms, it'd pick up power, then lay down, then pick up power etc. for about a min or so. Drove it a block and then it was just fine no more sputter. Then a week later all hell broke lose, and it wouldnt even run, so i replaced the pre pump, main pump, and fuel filter. Thinking this would fix my fuel shortage problems I drove it again for about 2 weeks. During this time it used a 1/4 of tank in a little over 20 miles. So it got parked till i could lean up the k-jet, leaned it up a tad yesterday. it was running and smelling right at idle, then i drove it, it sputters a bit at take off, and then in any gear, while acceleration from 4000-5700 rpm it cuts the ignition (or so it feels) out for a second and then comes back with power to do again in 1-2 intervals till i get to 6000 rpms or let off the throttle a little. Then while cruising at 60 mph it fades a bit every so often, not nearly as bad as under acceleration. Im mindboggled on why it does this. Any suggestions on what to do? Please help i cant drive a car that gets the mpg that a bbc gets lol.
