Please help before I drop kick my 122! 120-130

I don't see any mention of replacing the spark plug wires.
If you had a faulty coil wire that would kill your engine.
If the wire has an intermittent fault, simply removing the distributor cap to futz with the points could have temporarily restored the electrical connection.
Also check the low tension wires on your coil and distributor for continuity.

Are you getting spark?
