But shipping from calgary to the US? cheaper than getting one built? maybe it will be even.

I will call the Historic shop thanks for that. Its my first Volvo racer.
Speaking of I checked the SCCA GCR book, and it has no real rule on engines anymore- in 2000 they say over bore and a max of 2.1 liter on the B20 block
now it merely mentions engines available and sizes... i wonder if it matters any more if there isn't any competition anymore for this car and class (GT3 i believe under GTL and the GT2/Gt1 monsters)
