Greetings, new to the Volvo scene 200

Welcome to the BrickBoard!

I have the same vehicle - '92 245. Mine has the M47 (5-speed box) and limited slip rear, and when I was in CT until a few years ago, that combination with 4 snow tires was unbeatable in winter weather. I preferred my car to the ex's '97 850 with FWD and traction control.

The 240's are slow, no getting around it. I added a VX cam, adjustable cam gear and Turbo exhaust to mine and picked up maybe 10-15 hp, but more noticeable was the fact that in the hills of western CT the cam allowed me to use one gear higher than previously. That plus the ability to get some power and not just noise over 4000 rpm made a huge difference in my enjoyment of the car. I also put on IPD sway bars, front braces, poly bushings and 15" alloys with good tires... nothing exotic, but as my son put it, "you know you're driving something."
