Are ATE brake pads OEM? Any luck with them? 1997

Has anyone had any good/bad experience with ATE brand brake pads or rotors? I read elsewhere on this forum that ATE was an OEM brand, but I'm not sure for what parts.

Also, on SwedishParts.net I saw pads with "genuine" as the brand. This might be a paranoid newbie question, but there's not a "Genuine Car Parts, Inc." or something out there? I know some of you are laughing out there, but I've already fallen for the "OEM quality" bait and switch already, and I thought that perhaps a "Genuine" brand might fool a few greenhorns like me into thinking they were getting genuine Volvo parts.

I am replacing brake pads and rotors on my 1997 850 wagon which I'm trying to sell.
