Strange electrical problem 900 1993

Hi,

1993 945 164,000 miles

On my way to work this morning I had the following happen:

1st my aftermarket stereo started cycling between AM and clock and then died.

Then the tach started bouncing and then died

Then the fuel guage died.

Then the speedometer died when I tapped the brakes, but started working again when I released the brakes.

The blower motor died.

These symptoms persisted for 5 minutes. As I was at a light waiting to make a left turn I noticed 2 things. First, the turn signal clicker sounded fast, second, the low fuel light was blinking along with the clicker. This happened for about 10 seconds and then everything burst back to life and all was well for the remaining 5 minutes to work.

An interesting quirk was that I did not lose my stereo presents so I obviously had auxilary power. Also, the clock and temp guage continued working. My fuel guage is powered by a line running to the stereo fuse. My cruise control has recently quit working.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve
