Radiator tank bulged out! '87 745TIC 700

It is only bulged out on the thermostat (hot) side and has begun to seep at the tubes. Solder joint separated between steel frame and tank.

Of course it never showed an overheat and no major loss of coolant.

No excessive pressure or bubbles in the expansion tank. No real indications of a head gasket failure. No water in the oil either.

Seems to me that a HG failure would affect more than just the "hot" side tank?

Radiator / cooling system has been serviced every two years with a mild flush.

It does have about 343,000 miles on the radiator.

I'm thinking it's time for a new radiator? Either plugged or restricted?

Looking forward to your opinions, thanks!

Tom
