How do you guys drive your 122? 120-130

Hi all,

I was just wondering, how much beating can the engine of a 122 take?
I am not a conservative driver and was told that at one stage the volvo engines were top performers (back in the day).
I do not drive my 122 on a daily basis but when i do drive it, i drive her hard.
Is this healthy?
I have the std 4 speed manual gearbox and std 4.10 ratio diff.
I was told at one stage to keep her under 4000rpm's...

Just your thoughts please.
