Swapping older SONY radio with newer model--plug and play swap? 200 1989

Please tell me it will be that easy! A few years back I had a new Sony CD/radio installed, and the person who did it wired everything up nicely. The radio is fine but I really wish it had a USB port or an aux. jack so I can use my mp3 player instead of having to burn CDs every time my mood for different music changes. Looks like one of the big electronic stores has a SONY CD/radio with an aux jack for around $60 and free install. But I really would prefer doing this myself if it is just unplugging the old radio and plugging in the new one.
