89 740 wiring issue 700

I was in hopes of measuring the Engine Coolant Temp sensor
at "Right wheelhouse connector D pin 4" according to the January 1989
Volvo greenbook. But the two connectors at the right wheelhouse have
different color codes, and one connector has a wire missing altogether.
There's a very heavy green wire from the harness that goes to what looks like an add-on 3 wire harness and it goes in back of the engine towards the intake manifold. The colors are not agreeing with the book.

Did the wiring harness color code change sometime in 1989?

Does anyone have the 1990 740 greenbook and can check on color codes
for the wheelhouse connectors C & D. (were there any errata sheets for the wiring diagrams?)

I'd prefer checking the engine sensor at the wheelhouse connector rather than digging into the ECU area.

Thanks, Bill
