tie rod end, boots, ball joint, front crank seal 200 1985

An '85 245

What I've replaced so far....

All brakes, both fuel pumps, distributor.

I'm now looking at doing the wiggly tie rod end, the leaky ball joint, the shredded boots, the noisy bearings, and the leaky front crank seal

I'm a beginner on working on all these things.

What I'd like to know

How long should it take?
Are there special tools I will need?
As a beginner, is this fairly easy work to try?
Will I just need to replace the whole rack assembly?
Should i pay the big bucks for a car that's probably not worth that much?

I realize the work needs to be done. My only problem is that I live in the northwest without a garage so it takes some time before its dry enough to work on a car.

thanks
