Re torquing head bolts 200

I have a cold start problem that I think may be caused by a small headgasket leak. I get a puff of white smoke that clears after about 30 seconds after starting, plus one cylinder does not fire. Once the engine is warm all seems normal. The headgasket was changed just before I bought the car, and I suspect the head was not properly torqued, or worst case the head is warped.

So I'd like to try re torqing the head, but I have never had to torque a head before. Should I loosen all of the bolts off and go through the whole 3 step torque procedure? Or is it a bad idea to retourqe a head gasket?
