B230K engine 200 1987

Hi

I bought a 1987 240 gl with a B230K engine without the "Heron" cylinder head. I was able to find a replacement head from a B230FT engine (head casting no. 530. Acceleration is poor due to the low compression (mismatched head to engine blocl/pistons). I am in the process of replacing the pistons and con rods that came from a B230FT donor engine. This is to fix the compression ratio/and/or acceleration problems.

My question is, since the turbo/intercooler set-up of the a B230FT engine will bolt-in to the B230K engine with minor piping/ducting modifications, can the Solex Cisac carburetor be used instead of the fuel injection system of the FT engine?
