Right (passenger side) head light does not work 200 1990

My right front headlight does not work on high or low beam. Replaced the bulb and it still does not work. The left head light works fine on low and high. I noticed that the bulb out indicator comes on when ever I have head lights switched to low beam but goes off when I switch to high beam. Though out this switching routine the left head light fails to work. what could be my problem? I have heard the head light relay could be the problem. How could I trouble shoot? and where is the relay located. I have noticed over the last couple of years that I have had to replace the left headlight bulb a couple of times. thanks for any help. Driving with only one eye at night. JMSH
