Breather box r/r question

#1 Use degreaser -Take it to the car wash and use the pressure washer- I do my engine 2-3 times a year. So much nicer to work on!

#2 As I recall there is an oring on the actual breather portion (rear) and the drainback tube (front) does not connect to the box. The tube get brittle over time so just be careful. I applied a little RTV sealant around the flange of the tube.

Just re-read your post and it sounds like its not driveable. OK- try this; scrape away as much crud as possible with a small putty knife or whatever then spray some brake cleaner. Carefully remove the breather and plug the holes and finish the clean up.
