122 emissions 120-130

BIODIESEL????

Yeah, me too! You fuel my on again, off again ppe dream to install a TDI VW in my 122. I haven't gotten far past the theoretical possibility of mating a TDI with 22r Toyota tranny which is a snap.

The mounting points in the engine are doable and the hp is about right... A well tuned 1.9 is capable of a healthy 130 in a fairly mild state of tune.

Looking for a motor to measure for fit. My only real concern is the added width of the turbo stuff on the right side of the motor and the front suspension. I sense it is a possiblity. If I get it done, I'll share the info.

All my liquid fuel powered equipment out here in the boonies, off the grid, is now biodiesel fueled except my car.

Probably will get the 25 TT 1 ton truck running on a TDI first, as I need a truck. There is only so much that one can cram into a 122 wagon and go up a steep logging road!!! (it's pretty impressive though!!)

Cheers

Mike
