new to the volvo's 140-160 1971

I recently had a driveshaft (2 piece) made up for my Volvo 265 V8 (Oldsmobile F85 all aluminum 215) now that I'm converting it to stick shift. The owner of the driveshaft shop (coincidentally they are named The Driveshaft Shop) suggested a 1 piece but I've put 150k on the car with the 2 piece I originally built for the automatic so I decided that's good enough for me. They did a nice job, welded up the Chevy output yoke to a Volvo shaft, installed a new support bearing/hanger and balanced front and rear shafts----$175 all. A North Carolina shop near my son's MiniCooper repair center quoted me more than double that. They are located in Islandia, NY (Long Island) at 208 Blydenburgh Rd -- 1-800-564 2244
